Alien Worlds is a free to play game where you can mine Trillium occasionally by clicking a button. First, you need to create a WAX wallet. You can create a WAX account by linking a Google, Facebook, Twitter, or Facebook account. You can immediately start mining TLM by signing up and giving aliens world some permissions. At //wallet.wax.io/, you can create a wallet, or you’ll be asked to do so when you start the game.
- Alien World players can purchase lands to earn from.
- Alien World is on Wax Blockchain, Ethereum, and BSC as well as a bridge to Minecraft
Alien Worlds is a blockchain-based, decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible token (NFT) game. In order to earn Trilium (TLM), the game currency, players have to purchase unique digital items (NFTs).
While exploring seven planets across the metaverse in Alien Worlds, players find the appeal of a play-to-earn game they can build and govern for themselves. You can create Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), meet other gamers in user forums, and select lands and tools to suit your play style.
Based on on-chain smart contract activity tracked by DappRadar, Alien Worlds was confirmed to be the world’s most popular blockchain game as of October 2021, with more than 700,000 monthly active users. Launched in beta form during late 2020, two of its co-founders are Sarojina McKenna and Michael Yeates, who both worked on the EOS blockchain.
Gameplay
Exploring and mining alien planets is at the heart of Alien Worlds. The game’s metaversal currency, Trilium, can be earned by visiting these planets and mining their lands.
The player can also purchase a planet’s land, which gives him or her the right to earn a configurable percentage of the Trilium that has been mined from the planet’s land. Players can acquire different types of land. Each land type has unique characteristics that affect the mining of Trilium (TLM).
Each Land has 4 stats:
TLM multiplier – determines how much Trilium you will get.
NFT luck multiplier – determines the chance to get a NFT drop from mining.
Charge time multiplier – determines how long you will have to wait until mining again.
POW reduction – determines how difficult it is to mine the land.
For players to farm Trilium, they need to have farming tools. There are a variety of tools that the player can choose from. Tools are, like everything else in the game(NFT). They can be bought, traded, and sold on the marketplace.
Once the player starts mining for Trilium, the game calculates the chance of the player mining Trilium, NFTs, etc. by combining both the land’s modifiers and the tools modifiers.
Other NFTs that the player can acquire are:
Avatars – These items do not confer powers within the core game elements and are collectibles for aesthetic value.
Weapons – These items are NFTs that will be used in the core fighting game which, as of writing, hasn’t been launched yet.
Minions – Like weapons, these items can be used by players to fight with/against other players in the future fighting game.
Artifacts – These items are a diverse category of NFT that is possibly going to impact gameplay in a variety of ways.
The NFTs in Alien Worlds also have a rarity and shininess level. The rarity levels are (in order of least scarce to most scarce): Abundant, Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythical.
Shining – The shiny levels are Stone, Gold, Stardust, and Antimatter. Based on their shiny levels, NFTs will increase in power. Each NFT can be upgraded to a new shiny level by sending it to a smart contract accompanied with some Trilium.
Voting – Players can stake Trilium to vote in planetary elections and grow their Planet’s Reward Pool simultaneously. They can also trade game cards. They use TLMs to participate in the weekly election in Planet DAOs. The cross-chain token can run on ERC-20, BEP-20, and WAX chains.
When an Explorer submits multiple Alien Worlds NFTs and Trilium and in exchange receives a higher shininess NFT, it is referred to as “Shining”. Often, shined cards provide more value than their unshinned counterparts due to their higher power.
In return, the smart contracts will send a new NFT back to the player with a higher shininess.
Tokenomics
The term Tokenomics refers to the mathematical model and incentives that govern crypto assets. It covers the scope of the asset’s mechanics and any psychological or behavioral factors that might affect its value over time.
Alien Worlds is not built on just one blockchain. It is built on 3 blockchains, which are WAX, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain.
Trilium ($TLM) is the native utility token of the Alien Worlds metaverse and users can both store their mined Trilium on their preferred chain and use it for the game (BSC and WAX).
Each chain has a set amount of Trilium, which together accounts for 10 Billion Trilium. Every time a user sends an amount of Trilium from one chain to another, the smart contract automatically removes and adds the Trilium from/to the supply that is in circulation.
$TLM has the following use cases:
- Planet Governance: TLM holders may stake TLM to participate in the governance of planets and other potential rewards.
- Staking: Players may stake TLM on a selected planet to participate in TLM and NFT mining.
- In-Game Currency: TLM tokens are the currency in Alien Worlds, where players require TLM to purchase and upgrade items, participate in quests and battles, and other in-game-related activities.
- Gameplay Incentives: Active users may earn TLM as participation rewards to develop the in-game ecosystem and activity.
- Purchase NFTs: Players may purchase in-game items which are minted as NFTs, to mine TLM, engage in battles, and complete in-game quests.
- Altcoin Investment Speculation: Buy and hold TLM in anticipation of currency price gains. As the game continues to gain popularity and users, demand for it’s native currency pushes up the price. Expanding gameplay, deals like the announcement of a bridge with Minecraft, a free game with and ability to earn additional TLM as well as NFT’s will continue to draw new users to Alien Worlds.
